I love this Debbie. I took a retreat to Iona about 5 years ago (quite the journey from here in Omaha, NE), and yours is a reminder of that beautiful time and place. Thank you!

Yes, it was, two planes, a train, a bus, and two ferries. I love the ruins of the convent there with the Shelia Na Gig (I think that's the correct spelling?) in its wall. Also, we were visiting on the fall equinox and spent an early morning listening to singing bowls and a cello in the small chapel (11th century?) on the island. It was still dark and the chapel was lit with candles. An amazing experience. I also really enjoyed tramping all over the island on my own. Thanks for asking your question. It allowed me to relive my time there a bit.
